Theo Roth and his wife Anne established T & A Drilling & Blasting as a Proprietorship in 1979. Michael Witham worked as an employee for the Roth's and was offered the opportunity to purchase the company from them. He took that opportunity and Incorporated the company on March 28, 1991 in the Province of British Columbia. With dedication and commitment to safety and industry standards, Mike was able to take T & A Drilling and Blasting into the 21st Century as a leader in the industry.

The Management Team at T & A averages over 25 years of experience in the drilling and blasting industry. Most of our experience is in precision residential blasting, which benefits all other areas of work with attention to detail, precision, and control. The volume of Scaling and Slope Stabilization projects steadily increases and a Division for this work was added to the company's Organizational Chart in 2007.

Our teams constantly receive training and upgrading of their skills and knowledge. Certifications/tickets include WorkSafeBC Blasting Certificates, Mines Branch Blasting Certificates, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, First Aid and Transportation Endorsements, Environmental Management Systems, Fire Suppression, Electrical Awareness, and Whimis. The Company undergoes annual Safety Audits to retain its Safe Certification status with WorkSafeBC and the BC Forest Safety Council.
